Press release: ETN is proud to welcome GAIL (India) Limited, its first Indian member

In 2017, the members of ETN decided to widen the scope of their network, opening up the membership to the user community of gas turbine technology globally. This fundamental change has received an overwhelmingly positive response, and with the membership of GAIL (India) Limited, ETN’s network counts 113 members from 22 countries.

Press Release: ETN LM2500 User Group Meeting

On 1-2 June 2016, high-level representatives of LM2500 operator companies from Europe, North and South America and Africa met for the first ETN LM2500 User Group Meeting (UGM) at the Shell Technology Centre in Amsterdam. During the UGM, they exchanged experiences and established a focused dialog with GE and ISPs in order to define and develop solutions to prioritised operational issues/requirements. An overall fleet of 302 engines was represented at the event.

On 15 June 2016, ETN, COGEN, AEBIOM and the Renewable Heating & Cooling Platform, will organise a policy session entitled “Micro-Gas Turbines put a new spin on green energy production” during the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). The objective of this session is to highlight and discuss how Micro Gas Turbine (MGT) technology in a system approach can contribute to the decarbonisation of the energy system. The session also aims to raise awareness, present and evaluate current technology development and future opportunities for the reliable and environmentallyfriendly combined generation of heating/cooling and power based on the micro gas turbine (MGT)

technology integrated with solar and biomass energy sources.

Press release: ETN announces a new cooperation with GTUsers.com

Brussels, Belgium - ETN and GTUsers.com have decided to start a new cooperation. As both are user-driven gas turbine organisations, the cooperation is aiming to increase the impact and to making life easier for the gas turbine user community by combining and linking separate activities, which will reduce duplications of work/activities. The objective is to enforce the existing user groups and to increase the flow of information, development needs and requirements from the user community to the ETN platform and the entire value chain.

Press release: Micro Gas Turbines in European Energy Scenario

ETN has created a working group for Micro Gas Turbine (MGT) technology that includes over 30 organisations from the whole MGT value chain, whose objectives are to explore and identify cooperation opportunities for technology developments. As part of the MGT working group's activities, ETN organised a high level meeting "MGT in the European Energy Scenario" on 18 March 2016 in its offices in Brussels.

Press Release: New ETN President, Bernard Quoix of Total

On 27 April 2010 the Annual General Assembly in Amsterdam elected the ETN Board for 2010-2011. Bernard Quoix of Total was elected President by the Board members. Bernard Quoix is currently Head of Rotating Machines Department of TOTAL Exploration and Production. He is in charge of all rotating machines for new projects as well as machines in operation throughout the world. He is the leader of the Rotating Machines Network of TOTAL Corporate Technology Group which includes all rotating equipment engineers from Exploration and Production, Refining and Petrochemicals; and he is also a member of the Texas A&M Turbomachinery Advisory Committee.
