The 3rd International Gas Turbine Conference took place in Brussels in October 2006. More than 130 participants from gas turbine users, OEM’s and academia have attended the event. The conference reviewed the current state-of-the-art gas turbine research and experiences, and gave a snapshot of the energy trends and policies across Europe, Asia and the US before focusing on the actual place of the gas turbine within the international policy mix. It also presented an outlook on research at EU and international level as well as cooperation opportunities.

Some feedback from conference participants:
“Great presentations, excellent idea to promote collaboration between OEMs and users to work together on global warming problems.”
“Very good mix of participants from all kinds of business sectors (manufacturers, suppliers, research institutions, etc.) with a lot of different views on the conference topic. ETN’s conference is complementary to the more scientific oriented or mainly technical oriented conferences such as ASME and Power-Gen.”
“A smaller group is a real plus. Getting the views from the political arena as well as from utilities and the R&D community is excellent. A broad spectrum of topics and ideas were covered.”
“New business contacts made, excellent networking opportunities.”
